Ah, the glorious season of pumpkins is upon us, and in our family, it’s a festive affair filled with pumpkin-picking delights, carving escapades, and a touch of culinary pumpkin magic.

Our middle son, usually the epitome of calm, unleashes unbridled joy the moment those vibrant orange globes make their appearance in stores. He’s the self-proclaimed Pumpkin Enthusiast, ready for a pumpkin-palooza of pies, cookies, and bread—basically, anything pumpkin-related, he’s in! It’s a stark contrast to his usual indecisiveness, especially when it comes to mundane matters.

Believe it or not, this kiddo, who can’t settle on a dinner choice, has a laser-focused vision when it comes to pumpkin carving. He knows exactly which design he wants, and truth be told, he’s a serial design-changer in every other aspect of life!

This year, we opted out of the grand pumpkin patch outing, but that didn’t dampen the spirits. The kids still had a blast handpicking their pumpkins, ready to embark on the creative journey of turning them from innocent gourds into artistic masterpieces—well, in their eyes, perhaps more of a pumpkin annihilation with knives.

Stay tuned as we unveil the imaginative concoctions our little artists whip up! Until then, here’s a sneak peek into the pumpkin wonders of our past—proof that our family’s love for pumpkins is truly a timeless tradition.
